Bitter Banter

Aegis, some may say this is not poetry and you know what I would tell them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine because as Brenda said, you have said so much in such a short piece that you can feel the raw emotion within it and I feel this is really personal.

I never asked you to save me.

We may not ask people to save us but because they care and love us they try their damned hardest to do so which we should take our hats off to them and thank them but when times are tough its difficult to swallow our pride, isn't it?

I only asked you to leave the lights on so I wouldn't trip in the dark.

Absolutely loved this though mainly because I am petrified of the dark because of past events so it's something I would say and well, you cant see things in the dark unless you eat your carrots that is haha.

Well done on a simple yet thought provoking piece.
