I liked this poem, good work within each descriptive line along with great imagery that took my breath away. Although a sad piece, it brings to the fore the pain and suffering that must of been felt by those poor terrified souls in that Lions ring. Courtney Hough, you have brought those memories back to life, presenting them in a great poem. Well done. |
Thanks so much, always interesting to see what someone thinks the poem is about. Take care Peter |

I was drawn to this by its title and started to read the mire I read the more engrossed I got, I'm not gonna lie, usually when I read a piece this long I can loose interest pretty quick but this kept me there till the end, exceptionally well written with imagery that was spot on. |
thanks so much for the review Ben |

I thoroughly enjoyed. I'm a sucker for rhyming poetry...I have a thing for symmetry. I love reading darker pieces, they have a certain honesty to them. Keep writing. |

A long one, Courtney, but a piece that never once detracts from the point you are making. The rhyming throughout is really well executed, too. Enjoyed this one a lot. |

Reading this again Courtney I'm still blown away. Truly the story of the lion and the lamb. |
