I chose that line because it is a uncommon sight. The furies were described as goddesses of vengeance or possibly the ghosts of murdered people. While sirens were those who used singing to lure sailors to their demise. To me it came off as kind of a oxymoron and made sense. So in essence the line is a contradiction of their characteristics but they are both embracing death. |
