Good job on this one. I find that when you truly someone, waiting for them while they're away is more than worth it. Sometimes time apart brings you all the more closer to each other. |

The speaker of this poem is drowning in self pity. Feeling that the one he must say a temporary goodbye to will run away on him in his absence. Or if he/she CAN remain faithful... He/she will resent the speaker and find all of the sacrifices to be not worth it. |
Ok. Well, the way I see it would be that there is a way to continue to live and still wait for someone. Relationships put aside (obviously, if you're waiting for someone) you can still work on all the daily life things. Education, getting an apartment (which I actually just did btw) and money saving. |
