How do I justly praise her faultless grace?
With blemished words mere mortal may possess
No gale and tempest can her jewel deface
Pass King and Queen, Sun's every rise and rest
Her beauty as eternal summer glow
Though pedals fall and nature's colour fades
No spot, no season in her show
A crown among this earth her light cascades
Come winter chill and bitter solitude
Mere thought of her perfection saves
In time tumult to her I ne'er delude
As life's ocean against my heart still laves.
So distant lies this resplendence, my love
Though I pray, her return, to God above
