A little reassurance

I'm not perfect.
When I wake up in the morning my hair is a mess and yes,
My breath stinks too.
I don't always have time to shower until after work, but I do shower when I get home.
I sleep too much, and my glasses have a tendency to sit on my face crooked
Whenever they want.
I think they have a mind of their own.
My right foot wants to be left instead,
And I'm convinced I'd loose my head if it weren't attached.
But;
You are everything to me.
And sometimes,
When things get hectic and my emotions start to go haywire;
I just need a little reassurance that
I'm the same to you.

    Not one of us is perfect as we have flaws but someone, somewhere, someday will fall in love with our flaws and to them we'll be perfectly imperfect.

    This reminds me so much of Shakespeare's "MyMistress' Eyes Are Nothing Like the Sun" sonnet; but from the first person.
    Such an interesting voice to explore.
    And I would be willing to bet that the speaker's beloved considers him/her "as rare as any belied with false compare."

      I don't know much Shakespeare, I usually write when I have the urge. However, I'm always willing to check it out.

      Oh no!!!
      Shakespeare is AMAZING!!!!
      His work is one of the main reasons why i write.
