The irony of love

by DarkLight   Apr 1, 2017

She spoke of my existence as if
my birth was a collision of seasons.
Her words sounds like a praise of gods who just came home from battles with victory
yet her eyes tell a tale of disappointment,
one she only sees.

She rewrites my past to her comfort,
reminding me of the million mistates I never thought to think about.
Will my words ever change her mind.

I saw her smile last night,
in the calmness of the breeze
she found happiness,
Which often leave her in tears.

She spoke of me when I spoke of her,
So I approached, and she close the gap
only then did I realize her role in my play,
She is the smile my eyes had not seen,
a sunshine that forever shimmers,
a moonlight to always shine,
a bright star in my sky that will forever twinkle.

You beautifully convey a great deal of emotions through the piece.

Though the entire write is amazing, I especially like the first stanza. :)
