Poetic beauty once shared

by Michael   Apr 4, 2017

A subtle scent of lemony zest,
evokes a spicy titillation
Hooked by an enchanted aroma.
Spellbound.
I am reeled into her atelier.

Poised in shimmering ebony linen
Her flesh, pure snow white.

My mouth waters.
Pulsating beats to such an enticing sight
The atmosphere, drenched in a consensual seduction.
A suggestive silence as I behold
Her.

Ring-lets drape from follicles.
Wavy spirals. Spring-like in motion.
Kissing, softly upon her blades.

An aroma of powerful acetate.
Indifferent odours, but essential relish.
From a bijou bottle, she carefully secretes the shellac.
With a petite brush
she strokes with great attention. A carmine glaze of perfection is applied.

Her soft-blushed taupe shells, lined with sable curliness.
Fluttering over her sea green lens coruscating in
Mother of pearl.

A deep red velvet matt, air-brushed with great distinction.
She whispers a gust to dry her painted art.

In a furled-motion, her palms slowly unravel

Silk.

Little-by-little,

she glides a Smokey shimmer,
up to where...

She fastens to a racy laced sash.
Refined hands then
caress over her, exotic finery to soothe
any flaws.

From a closet she exhibits an onyx gown.
A plume, embroidered with finesse
gracefully hemmed, and sat tight
across her chest.

In a vivacious fashion

she wriggles

Her attitude lavishly veiled
The climax of her showcase..

A black lascivious swan.

A bouquet of dark beauty.
An erotic prowess of poetic proportion.

Her erogenous lustful feathers
sweep me off
my feet

I found this poem captivating, the poet took me on a wonderful titillating journey full of spice and evocative imagery, excuse the puns. Exquisite word choice adds to the seduction of this lovely piece. A mature well written poem that lifts off the page of its own accord. I admit I would rather the words have the impact as opposed to page layout, but that seems to becoming more favoured these days. Not sure how the page layout translates when you read it out loud ? Yet that’s a very personal thing I guess. But I have to say very LOUDLY "that can not detract in any way from such a great poem!"
    A very warm congrats.
