Are you a Thorn or Are you Not?

by Everlasting   Apr 6, 2017

Are you a thorn or are you not?
You sting my stress away with just a touch,
But also make my head to bleed a thought
that you and I belong as such...

as if we were some kind of rose.

Not long ago you said I was the stem,
the one from whom you grew and fed
but also whom you wanted to defend
from the lacks of people, oh yes! of them.

So I guess I can't truly say
if you are a thorn or not?
But one thing I really know
is that you and I belong as such....

as if we were some kind of rose.

This is beautiful! I love the rose metaphor. Well done!

Well, where there are thorns, there are often roses which suggests you can't have one without the other...unfortunately. This can make love rather difficult to navigate calmly!

    Take care
