I must admit that I found the structure of the rhymes a tad difficult at first, but once I read it a few times, I understood it's frame.
This piece is full of painful truths, but there was, I think - understandably - a layer of anger hidden beneath the sorrow, and it was this anger that intrigued me the most. Reading it again, it is the anger that gives this piece life, heart and drive.
I also enjoyed some of the wording chosen that really seemed to act as the pulse of the piece. Words like 'violence', 'beatings', 'gunshot', 'blast'.
