    Sad yet wonderfully penned

    People do not always understand
But we need to stay strong

The grief here speaks volumes (to me).

      Thank you so much, Lvi!
I really appreciate you reading and taking the time to comment. Like you said, it is imperative we stay strong and continue to work through any negativity within us. Staying positive is hard and a challenge in itself...but can be an even better treatment than any pill.
Thanks again and take care :)

A sad write, Ren, but one that is very well written and rhymed throughout.

Ren, a sad thoughtful write. A very personal piece that I really appreciate your honesty and openness. Its not easy when we ourselves are the harshest critics of one self. So many think this pill or that pill will be the miracle cure all to whatever ails us. Nobody takes into consideration that we are unique and just because it works for one it may not work for another. This life is not easy and for some the bumps in the road are more like a giant sink hole. Just being able to get through each day is a great accomplishnent so take solace in that. Hugs to you-

Aww thank you so very much, Brenda! You hit the nail on the head with your comment. We are our harshest critics...and the things we say to ourselves can have an even bigger impact on our self esteem than if someone else had said it. Trying to stay positive and find light in so much darkness is a challenge I see too many people struggling through. That's why one of my biggest passions in life is to help people find alternative and more holistic methods to treat ailments...especially the mental and emotional ones...because like you said, there is no magic pill that cures all, and everyone is different- and truthfully sometimes the medications don't work anyway. Thank you so much again for your wonderful comment and for the hugs! They are much needed and much appreciated! Much love to you, Brenda! Take care :)

This struck a chord with me in so many ways.

Not being able to sleep, sitting up in the early hours, chewing things over in your mind, only to be left with more questions than answers.

Then the next day, exhausted but still expected to carry on as if all is fine. When all you wanna do is tell the world to go burn.

    A beautiful haunting poem.

Things do get better and smiles will follow, You have touched people with this piece and I'm sure everyone who reads it will concur.

    Regards

    Craig

Wow thank you so much for taking the time to read and for your insightful comment, Craig! I really appreciate it.

You describe these struggles so well...that is exactly how it is. Feeling so tired and utterly exhausted yet not being able to sleep or rest...but then still having to get up and "function" in our daily lives and responsibilities. It is an immense struggle that unfortunately too many people suffer through- which makes it even more unfortunate that it's still such a topic of taboo.

I am truly glad you found some resonance with this piece- if my writing can allow people to feel less alone or feel some sort of connection, that is an amazing feeling to me.

Thank you so much once again Craig, and I wish you all the best. Like you said, things do get better in their own time, and there is always a light at the end of the tunnel...even if it's only very faint at the time being.

      Take care :)

"Now and then there's a light in the darkness, feel around till you find where your heart is"

From the song Pieces by Rob Thomas. Give it a listen.

What is hidden here is that your insecurities and withered state is already defeated by your rejuvenating words and the beauty of your mind. Beautiful job!

    Hi Ren

Very brave and expressing ourselves ain't easy. So full admiration to you and your write. Conformity in society, so easy to normalise people, but only how they see it!

Well done on a uneasy write and all best wishes

    Michael :)

The pills just made my depression and anxiety worse, I stopped taking them.
Nicely penned ink Ren. Very resonant.

Sometimes that guiding light I front of us dims and almost disappears but when we focus on it we can make it through...

I really like this write ren, the structure really commands how we absorb the words and flow.

    Great job

The rhyme scheme is inspired. I have been experimenting myself.
    "I
    Am
    In
    Pieces"

Excellent visual representation. The sentence itself is literally in pieces.
