In Search of a Pearl

by Ronald Edwards   Apr 20, 2017

The slightest irritation
can aggravate my life,
bringing cause for anger
resentments, pain and strife.
Pondering occasions
on how they do unfold,
it’s not the mass vibrations
but more or less the load.
Please tell me how an oyster
made of shell and slime,
can produce a product
with beauty for all time.
Now if this mere crustacean
can handle bits of sand,
as easily as waiting
and making it so grand.
So it is my own actions
of me looking aimlessly,
thru the grains and sands of time
preventing me to see.
That it’s pearls of wisdom
that I should string in-line,
reflecting all their brilliance
allowing me to shine.
