I X

by tobias kinti   Apr 22, 2017

the witnesses
said that the crash
was just like
a dance

the first car
the way that
it span
over and over
in the air
and finally landed
on its back
in the sand

and the lorry
containing
thousands of gallons
of diesel
fell on its side
like a dead horse
spilling
its insides

the smell
of the fuel
soaking the highway
and the dirt
followed
by the flames

nothing was found
in the wreckage
afterwards
no flesh
no bones
no id cards
no paperwork
everything
charred

the wreckage
was then moved
to the side of the highway
and left
for months
and months

when it had all been
forgotten
the village kids would play
and climb
all over
the burnt frames
and one day
a small boy
around 5 years old
dropped himself
in through
where the windscreen
would have been
and investigated

he was hoping
to find something cool
like a horn
or a gun
but as he went on
he found something
a bit different
it was hard
and black
and when he
pulled it up
it did not
take him long
to see what it was

it was
a black
hand

the boy screamed

I am expecting the little boy to come across an evidence. And whoa, what an evidence it was. This is a terrible happening and how you narrate the events is admirable.

Tobias, from what I've read of your work so far, you clearly have a very skilled ability to tell a story and make the reader feel like they are there and all the very best tales do that.

Well done and all the best,

    Ben

Wow. I didn't expect that either, but it was great. I hope this isn't a true story lol it seems traumatizing. Still makes for a good write. I love it!
