Your Reflections In The Water Poem ( Cascade)

by Abstract Poet   Apr 24, 2017

Looking into the water
I thought I saw
your reflection in the water
I cried when I saw
your face smiling at me
looking into the water
I wish I could kiss your face
and tell you that I miss you
I thought I saw
your face shinning in the water
when you came home I saw
your reflections in the water.

This is such a tough poem to read, because i think a lot of us can relate to the poem sadly well. We all miss someone in life who is either gone or walked away from our life. I love the imagery you have presented the reader here. It is like a reflection of the soul. Your soul was connected to this person and every time you see a reflection, you see this person too. What a haunting but well written piece!

People see their own reflection in the water. Love transforms and erase your image and replace it with the one of beloved. Such wonderful read!
