Four Letter Word:

by Scott Cole   Apr 25, 2017

There's a four letter word
That's being passed around,
So whenever you may hear it
I hope he's kneeling down.

It's one of those words
That can cut you to the bone,
If used in the wrong way
Or said in a guilty tone.

It's the word of all words
Because it's spoken so much,
That dirty little word
That says your outta touch.

So please hold your tongue
Don't you feed me your bull,
Are you telling me the truth
Or just pulling my wool.

Better wash out your mouth
Or watch what you said,
If you really truly mean it
Then I hope that we do wed.

There's a four letter word
That's being thrown around,
I pray whenever you hear it
That it want make you frown.

Cause I hope that it is real
And comes from the heart,
Not a sneaky little mouth
That just plays the part.

That four lettered word
You hear now and then,
Should I cover up my ears
Or just bear it and grin.

There's a four letter word
And love is that word,
The dirtiest little word
If it's not what you heard.

You used it against me
To save yourself the chase,
Told me that you love me
Right straight to my face.

I can bet you one thing
That word that you misuse,
Will leave you and your ego
Both lonesome and bruised.
