Ramblings of a Mad Man

by Fredy RoMa0u Sanchez   Apr 25, 2017

At night, when the ghosts of past memories arise....
When the sun dies in the horizon, and with it so does my smile...
When the cold embraces me and whispers that you've gone...
It is then I miss you....

During the day, I play the smiling buffoon,
I pretend the pain in my heart is non-existent...
I convince myself that your departure isnt reason enough to stop living....
But when the moon guides my loneliness,
And melancholy drowns my senses...
It is then I miss you more....

Another night without you....
To live was never this hard....
Until you left....

This is a beautifully written poem. The descriptions paint a very clear and vivid picture of what it is like for you as you are missing whomever it is you are missing.
Hang tight. Things always get better.

Sad yet a beautifully expressive poem.

But when the moon guides my loneliness
    And melancholy drowns my senses
It is then I miss you more
