This Face of Mine

by Maple Tree   Apr 28, 2017

This face of mine -

It's just a piece of paper,
eyeliner becomes ink
with invisable words
You will never understand.

Circles, roundabouts-
simply a map of dead end tears.

Age spots hide the poem
You were meant to read....

Read me now and I'll lie to you;
my smile is just a pretty ending
on one of many pretty poems....

    They say a picture says a thousand words, your poetry
    says and makes the reader feel the weight of that picture...if that
    made sense...take care

    It is a revelation to get to this level of honesty and clarity in your poetry.
