Bleeding Blue

by Kereen   Apr 30, 2017

Splish splash
Tip tap
The rain dances on the window
Tic Toc
Tic Toc
The clock sings in silence
My mind is an open space
Filled with knowledge and the depth of face
I stare outside the window and wait

The grey shaded sky matches the color of the ever spreading stain left on my soul
I am not yet black and cold
but I am far from colorful bold
I sit in the silence not even a bird's chirp
I am bleeding blue from those past hurt

I hear laughter in my mind but I'm not insane
It's my problems and insecurities playing a game
I see your hurt
I see your pain
Life is like a chess game
Some will win some will lose others are stuck on a draw and have to choose

Tic Toc
And then the silence fell
Suddenly life doesn't seem like hell
I hear the stories that my love ones tell I smile an empty smile as an excuse I try to sell
But in the coming silence
The coming truth
When loneliness takes over
I know I'll be bleeding blue

A well written poem, full of emotion. it flows well, the random rhyme scheme adds punch...

I am not yet black and cold
but I am far from colorful bold

for me these two lines were powerful added impact in the middle which you carried on for the rest of the piece. well done
