A friendly Warning

by Lemon Squeezy   May 2, 2017

Attached to weights of diverse measures,
Clinging to life's enchanting pleasures,
Blinded by our selfish seductive pride,
A Warning, friend, these things weaken our stride.

Attracted to all the glamour and spotlights,
Stringing ourselves along with Glossy delights,
Attacked by a spirit of self-centered Greed,
A Warning, friend, these aren't the things we need.

Engaged with material, tis truly a sea of vanity,
Crashing around our frail bark of sanity,
Engulfed by the winds and waves of doubt,
A Warning, friend these are things we can go without.

This is a very good rhyming piece of poetry which I love. Also, there's some very healthy advice throughout.

Well done and all the best,

The word choice in this is very interesting and the flow is a little choppy, but it still managed to give the piece personality, so that was neat. Cool piece to read through.
