Little wheels that gently turn
It's what they were made to do
Constantly in motion
Forever on the move
They're not part of a process
Not a thing of industry
But they interlock and gently turn
Not as a part of a machine
Forever they're connected
Forever they will touch
But they turn in opposite directions
They have no choice, it's what they must

The thing about cog wheels is this, if you put two together and turn the one on the right clockwise the one on the left has no choice but to turn anti clockwise. It would appear that they are forever turning away from each other.
But what happens if the one on the right moves anti clockwise instead?
