Why Cinderella Lost Her Slipper:

by Scott Cole   May 5, 2017

Its a few pages of a Fairytale
But every word of it is true,
About a fair maiden princess
Who lost her glass shoe.

In Fairy Wonderland
Beneath those sagging elm trees,
Where fairy dust and mystery
Blow freely in the breeze.

It always starts out the same
Once upon a time,
And back in the ages
Straight out of a mind.

Poor ole Cinderella
You daddy has passed away,
And your mean step-mother
She don't even play.

Keep those floors swept
Wash those dishes up,
Shine up my best china
And don't you break a cup.

Get those windows spotless
Set the dinner table,
Don't forget the garbage
When your willing and able.

Poor ole Cinderella
Your daddy's watching you,
Along with her step-mother
She's really feeling blue.

But in Fairy Wonderland
Not everything is bad,
Cause poor ole Cinderella
She sure is really glad.

For her Mr. Romeo
Who is her Prince Charming,
He's throwing a hugh ball tonight
With Chariot Pumpkin carvings.

So it's on her little mind
And she really wants to go,
I'll just slip out and back in
Before the Midnight does crow.

Oh mirror mirror on my wall
I need to make a collect call,
To my Fairy God Mother
Before I go awall.

With help from up above
Everything is now set,
I will get my Prince Charming
If it's the last thing I get.

But oh how time does fly
When your having so much fun,
And soon that midnight crow
Will be coming undone.

Down those long winding stairs
One thing on her mind,
She's trying to get home
By the nick of time.

With her beautiful ball gown
And her clear glass slippers,
The stilletos of the time
That outshines any glitter.

So it's never any wonder
Why Cinderella blew a wheel,
Cause glass slippers will break
And stilletos lose their heels.
