Sandy Coated World:

by Scott Cole   May 8, 2017

In this sandy coated World
Life can be really tough,
It's not a skip in the park
Or a day that's not rough.

Life's a kick in my face
Not a nice seat near a pond,
It's a heavy boat anchor
Not a pet which your fond.

When the pressures of time
Treat you like a paper weight,
And your rock hard outer shell
Is your most awesome trait.

You have grew up tormented
Those streets were your life,
Your hard outer core needed
To fend off on coming strife.

I know that iron taste in blood
And how the dark isn't safe,
I'd love to put my toes in sand
Overlooking a pretty sunny face.

Life has alot of heavy burdens
And at times can be a drag,
A headache from a night glass
Or a tiny army parachuting bag.

I'm stuck in a tight place
With my limbs tied together,
My life is falling to pieces
And overlooked by feathers.

I'm simple with plain looks
But never forgot who I was,
No matter how bad my life
Least I'm no belly button fuzz.
