The Shipmaster

by Lemon Squeezy   May 15, 2017

I'll stay aboard this weak frail bark,
Though some days be lonely and dark,
Upon Life's sea my journey embark,
For God is my shipmaster!

When sailing is smooth, and sun shines bright,
The Breeze is crisp and clean, no rain in sight,
All is calm, peace is sure, no worries afright,
God is my Shipmaster!

Though clouds arise the thunder rolls, in black and darkened sky,
When hope seems lost and all is wrong, I want to ask Him why!?
When waves crash round, I Almost drown, and I wish no more to try.
God is my shipmaster!

As long as He is at my helm a guiding,
I know I can continue, through the waters gliding,
Upon this day I make it known, I am deciding,
God is my shipmaster!

So Sail I On! Though storm a rages and winds a whip,
So Sail I On! He's at my side as rugged waves a clip,
So Sail I On! When times are tough aboard the ship,
For God is my Shipmaster!

I know not where He sets the course toward,
I know not the depths, yet plunge we forward,
As long as He is shipmaster, My Captain, My Lord,
Alas, I know I'll remain safely aboard!

FOR GOD IS MY SHIPMASTER!!
