Where Are You?

by CJ Maleney   May 24, 2017

Tell me that you hear me
We need to know you're there.
Mumbled words in private rooms,
I beg you hear those prayers.

Your children are hurt and dying,
So many feel that they are lost.
The evil deeds go unpunished
And the innocents pay the cost.

If you truly do exist
Then you need to make a stand and act
How many more will you let suffer
How many more lives to be axed.

None of us asked to be here
We didn't have a choice,
But now we are you have a duty of care
So you need to raise your voice.

I like to think God gave us free will so we can make our own decisions, not so he can temper it with a plan. Not saying I believe in God, but it has always seemed hypocritical to grant free will to man then tell him you've got his whole life planned. Rules ok. Commandments sure. Plan? Nope.

We're not his responsibility. There's a place for the good, and a place for the bad. We're left alone to our own devices. Again, if you believe that sort of thing.

I'd like to think that everything happens for a reason, whether you believe in god or not. Everything is a stepping stone, it leads you to where you are; almost like taking the steps to do something but on a much more complex level.
With this, I can challenge your question so as to say; what if every one of those stepping stones was gods plan all along? Obviously you have free will and power but god is supposed to know everything. Therefore; your reactions and whatnot to everything, all of your decisions he has most likely already seen coming.
And this is just my point of view. I'm a believer.

Craig, a solid write, I could feel your frustrations and totally understand. We don't understand what Gods plan is and why the world is the way it is. I felt you did a really good job with how you are feeling and echoing the sentiment of many.
