a Name for time

by Mortal Utopia   May 25, 2017

when you moved too fast for me to see,
i thought you were constant.

when i wanted to name you Eternity,
you’ve already forgotten who you were.

so, instead, i named you Memory,
as i pretended that you’d remember.
