To Manchester. #ACityUnited

Once again our hearts are broken,
Once again we mourn in loss
and anger threatens to derail
the love intrinsic to our souls.
Another strike to terrify,
To batter all belief in Gods.
No matter what Their Name or station
none could countenance this loss.
The innocent and uncorrupted
pay the ultimate in price,
Whilst those who call themselves religious
twist that faith and say they’re right
to kill and maim for greater glory,
Kill and maim for sake of ‘love’.
So we must stand, a world united
showing we have had enough.
Whatever creed or church we favour,
Which name we pray to in despair
together we must rise up singing
songs of hope and trust, so thereby
disavowing terror’s message,
Disallowing hate to grow,
Hold in our hearts this simple mantra
Harm None.
And let hatred go.

Amazingly beautiful and oh so sad - we did the 1 minute silence today - it doesn't make a difference I know, but I cried. If everybody cried, it would be a better world. X

It is incredible to me that this is where the world is right now. I agree, this should be nominated.

It is incredible indeed to think that after hundreds of years people are no more tolerant of those whose beliefs differ from their own. Thanks.

Cassie, this quite literally brought a whopping lump to my throat. It's a cutting piece of work with a message we all need to stand up and take notice of.
I genuinely hope this is nominated so it gets the exposure it needs; I'm out of votes this week.

    All the best as ever,

    Ben

Thanks, as ever Ben. I'm glad the emotion I wanted to portray came through. x
