Universe

I remember vividly
When you and I
Entered the planetarium
And saw the show of the
Stars that were above us.

I loved how your eyes glistened,
Basking in the majesty
Of the universe that you were
Observing with your
Pearly eyes.

When we left there,
Your hand held in mine,
You noticed that I
Could not, for the life of me,
Take my eyes off you.

Slightly blushing,
You asked me,
"My love,
Why do you look at me in that way"

And I said to you,
"As Neil Degrasse Tyson said,
'We are part
of this Universe;
we are in this Universe,
but perhaps more important
than both of those facts,
is that the
Universe is in us.'

And I see now,
That the universe that I love
Has her hand clasped in mine".
