When We Fight

by Kimberly Day   Jul 9, 2004

What happens to us,
Whenever we fight?
We let our feelings for each other out of sight.
We take things to seriously,
We take things to deep.
There have been times,
I've cried myself to sleep.
We let things so out of hand,
We never truly make a stand,
For what we believe in,
We fight like cats and dogs to be let in.

We have enough love,
To go for the long run.
We have enough love,
For the whole world and above.
We were always meant to be,
But sometimes,
We just can't see,
When our fighting gets out of line,
And things come out wrong.
And we hurt each other,
With words.

We need to calm down,
We need to put both feet,
Back on the ground.
We will make it in this world,
I'll be your one and only girl.
We need to make this better,
We need to understand,
We can no longer,
Let our fights get out of hand.
