You can't break me

by Beautiful Tragedy   Jun 1, 2017

The you part of me died today,
Burnt down and laying
Bloody broken on the cold hard cement.
The red wings in which you'd given
Me burst into flames,
And I screamed as tears ran down My face;
nonetheless a heartbreaking
Sight of my former self turning to
Dust.
Every memory,
Slowly faded and gone like a slight
Breeze that passes in an instant,
Leaving you to wonder
where in the hell it could have went.
Every wish we have ever made vanished;
Disappearing into thin air
Like smoke from the end of a lit cigarette.
Every picture deleted,
Every message erased and forgotten
And all of the "I love you's"
Burnt with me.
But don't worry,
Because like a Phoenix I will rise again
Better than I was before.
You can't break me,
Because I was already broken
And you were all it took to make me finally set fire to the past and start fresh.
