Surfer Boy Over There

by Lyra   Jun 2, 2017

If you wanna lay next to me
Lay next to me
If you wanna say, 'hi'
Say, 'hi'

If you wanna look at me a little longer
Just do it, but tell me why

I know you can feel me
Where I lay on this beach
Just 100 ft away from me
Another loner I'd like to meet

We are friends just from one look
Doesn't matter what they say
That's all you need, screw the book
Just come over and say, 'hey.'

I know I could have the courage
To just do it myself
But that would defeat the purpose of
...
I got nothing, I know I'm wrong.

It's just that you seem
More fearless, more free
The waves don't scare you
Like they do me.

If the waves don't scare you
They why should I?
Just come over here god-boy
And say, 'hi'

You know I get impressed very easily
That's all you have to do
It will make may day a whole lot better
And help me to pull through.

Can you feel my energy
In your meditative state
Relaxed and lying face down
Letting the sun regenerate

I've got to go, but I will miss
That surfer body of yours
But not because that's all I want.
Your mind, your soul and more.

It's still possible. He continues to come every Sunday. :) It was fun being inspired to write this right there on the beach! Glad you enjoyed it!
