    Brenda,

What I love about your poetry is the raw honesty. No flowery nonsense just to impress, and certainly nothing that is ever pretentious...just life in its many varied and often difficult spectrums.
That 'sticks and stones' thing really is a pile of nonsense, I have always found. We heal from physical blows, but not necessarily from a crippling mental one and when our confidence has taken a bashing at any point in our lives, it is often always a little more vulnerable. That is simple fact...and there are always those bas....ds out there who choose to exploit that.

I will nominate this tomorrow...it needs to be read.

Take care and keep your chin up,

    Ben

Oh no, this is so true Brenda. One word and all the past hurts just hurt us again. I do not want to think about the hurt it may have caused you and can only hope you remember you are a beautiful person and not be too much affected by it. Thank you for this honest and heartfelt piece.

I'm not sure what else to say that hasn't already been said but seriously, Brenda, this is a powerful piece full of the bitter truth about how much damage words can really do. Phenomenal job! |Love button| and many many hugs to you!!!

    Brenda,

On the poem side, your word usage was fun and lively
It was flavored with a powerful rythem.... powerful.

On the emotional side, ignore that damn word....that person sucks!

    Hugs you!!!

Brenda, some people can never find you enough no matter what you do.
The problem lies with that person and not you.
But yes one small thing can unfurl all your bitter memories.

Nonetheless, a great write. The word choice and the short sentences added to the mood of the piece.

    Take care :)

Thank you Lvi, I appreciate your kind words. Yes, he really is lacking people skills. Unfortunately he's the GM so he thinks he can talk to people like this.
