PnQ Insomnia

by mossgirl19   Jun 11, 2017

Fifteen-hour difference
From where I am, twelve.
Clock strikes the very number
My time to get up from bed.

On reaching the computer
Logged in at PnQ
Thinking, I’ll check client emails,
After I leave a comment or two.

Opened the accounting system
Then shifted to a piece of Em
Heart breaking while reading
Suddenly missing dear Ren.

Made a promise to myself
I’ll just read another five
But the urge to read on
Cruelly bothered my mind.

Client asks how’s the financials
For a while I’d whisked it off
I’m doing the bank reconciliation
With a heart quite aloof.

I heard cases of insomnia
Have swept thru PnQ land
Luckily I have been nocturnal
And knowing these made me glad.

There is an advantage
To keep your eyes awake
Thanks to the insomnia attack
Monsters have come out to play.

I don't know how I missed this, I'm the one that gave the prompt! Made me smile as I remembered.

Great write. I suffer from insomnia myself from time to time and often find myself drifting downstairs in the small hours of the morning and logging onto pnq!

    All the very best,
