I LOVE THIS MAN!

I LOVE THIS MAN!

He is; my Savior, my Lord, my Brother, my Friend, who has vowed to always love me right to the end. Who is like you holding the elements in your palm, keeping the Earth from great harm.
Your words charmed a man out of a tree, to him you said; tonight, I will sup with thee. At twelve years old, you put the Temple wizards to shame, your answers from the Almighty came.

Your fame spread across the land, from far and near they came. On a hill, you made them to rest and be still. Satan like a shill had someone whisper to your Apostles; there is nowhere to buy bread, so send them home instead.
With that being said; from a boy’s small lunch of some fish and bread, five thousand he fed, and when the Apostles were still in awe, enough was left to feed even more. The people did ask; are you more the just a man made of flesh and bone or of the Earth and Universe do you own?

Yes, he replies, my Kingdom lies beyond the Skies, invisible to human eyes. I Am an Alien and stranger here, not to harm you but to bring a new life and much cheer, maybe we can join for something to eat, with some wine or beer, by the way, I’m really good at making wine, at a recent wedding the guests thought it was divine.

Just think, how many would turn down an offer in this life that you trod to actually sit down and eat with God? Glad that I can enjoy life, Jesus set me *free, now I enjoy my liberty, not a license to sin but can have a great meal, have a drink, as an average Christian, not a strange dud or a stick in the mud.

*Drinking is not a sin but drunkenness is, the Apostle Paul told the early Church Bishops not to drink too much wine. Paul also said that ALL things were Lawful for him but not all things were expedient, he also said that our conscience should always be clear in whatever we do.

Ken, I'll admit I am a atheist but your love for God shines through this humourous piece.

Thanks for your wonderful comments Mossgirl! Jesus said; if I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me. We know that he was lifted up on the Cross but we can also lift him up through our lives' testimony and words.

Ken, I envy the conviction you have in your faith and how humorously you are able to articulate it.
As for the 'not too much wine' bit - oh well, that's me a sinner then! lol

Take care and all the very best,

    Ben

I must confess Ben which is good for the Soul, scripture has said; There is NOT a righteous man in the whole world that continually does good and never sins!
I would like to forget the time I was down the hatch and got home and could not undo the latch. Especially when a little too much put me down on the dance floor, shame was on my face, my wife calling me a disgrace.
