I Am Here

by Rhinehalt   Jun 13, 2017

Quiet as it is, here in the night I stand,
Awaiting the eve of the dawn,
The cooling air slowly warming,
My lips move slow as the first light appears.
Greeting the shine of day with a smile,
I simply note to myself, with a soft murmur of,
"Here I am."
I breathe in the morning.

This is powerful and though I can't quite put my finger on it, I feel it has a really bigger, deeper meaning

    Much love,

Hmm. Thank you. It's has the meaning it did to me as I wrote it, and the meaning it brings out in the reader.

But I assure you, it's a good meaning. Nothing dark.
