The Thief Of Time( in memory of Terry Prattchet) #2

by CJ Maleney   Jun 13, 2017

I once had control of it
I used to gauge it perfectly
But time ran out, the mechanism seized
Hands stood still for all eternity

It wasn't of my doing
And not the thief of time himself
Through present past and history
He flashes through with stealth

The auditors wanted order
So they commissioned that clock of glass
To control all humanity
All to come and all that's passed

Only one monk could stop them
But he chose to dig up weeds
Until he had to teach the thief
To become what he could be.
