A Better Nation

by k.won   Jun 15, 2017

Who could tell what tomorrow brings
when we don't even know we'll still be here.
Why fighting for material things,
why judging by what one wears.
Why laughing at the color of one's skin
when yours is just the same,
why saying that you're better than the other
through the wealth and the fame.
Why trying to steal one's right
when deep down you know you're wrong.
Why trying to block one's shine
because you know they're not that strong.
Why compelling others to stray
because they'll forever take intimidation.
Why ending a life each day
instead of making a better nation.

We always end up with these questions...and until now nobody really has the answers...since we have been fighting wars too long, not only physical wars, but even wars within ourselves. I find this very sincere, with a little innocence. It's beautiful.
