Your Wall

by Chris   Jun 20, 2017

Your wall is tall and made of stone;
With every tear and heartbreak it has grown.
Hiding behind that wall is something few have ever been shown;
To all others, it's completely unknown.
You hold the power atop of that throne;
After all the hurt, its your only safe zone.
But over time it will be shown;
You won't always be behind that wall all alone.
That protective place you hold close will be outgrown;
Because forever and always, my heart will be your new home.
You living in emotional fear is something I'll never condone,
Because my love for you runs deep and could never be cloned.

    Great write and inspirational to boot.
    People suffer and build up walls they don't think will ever be broken down but it's often the love of the right person who can do just that.

    All the very best,

    Great rhyming and how very sweet! To hear such words, every woman's wall might be broken down. :-) Agree with dear Ren, this is excellent!
