Tainted Love, You and I

by Dana   Jun 21, 2017

Ink bled as I wrote what's on the inside,
Soul was crushed I couldn't hide.
Everything seemed to be perfect.
In the end, it left me wounded.

Once I was a fool,
I let my heart fall
To the man I thought was mine.
I was wrong, everything was a lie.

This is a beautifully written piece with the emotions of heartbreak hanging heavily on every word. Although it hurts when it's broken, the heart truly is such a resilient little thing! Much love and healing to you, and welcome to the site :)

A warm welcome to the site, Dana.

It seems you, like so many here, have been wronged in love if this poem is any evidence.. This is a perfect place to vent and air our feelings!

Well done, keep writing and all the best,

    Ben
