He Whispered; Our Poem

by Maple Tree   Jun 22, 2017

We truly are caligrafy-
wordy emotions dripping
upon pages of thoughts,
scattering to make sense.

Our love is more
than a four lined stanza,
fitting seven years of memories
and casting an ending to us?

No.

Only in death, when the ink runs dry,
our parchment withers within age
loving you in memoirs; eternal.

Cast your pen upon my poetry
leaving sweet embraces to rest
forever within a book of love sonnets.

My love interwined his rhyming
within my metaphors,
bonding within matrimonial punctuation.

Falling together, forever in love;
he whispered, I began to write-

our eternal love poem

Hi Andrea, this was beautifully written I enjoyed each line from start to finish. I felt the love and romance flowing together from each word. What a lovely piece. :)
