Suddenly Remembered You

by mossgirl19   Jun 23, 2017

I suddenly remembered you, Gary
And it put a smile on my face.
I so remembered the inexperienced me
And the huge amount of your faith.
Pieces from my younger self
Nothing really special about them
But you were there to be of help
You were the only one by then.
You are honest to appreciate
Much more honest to critic
Allowed me to always evaluate
If the beauty of poetry is what I seek.
You gave me much of your time
And trusted so much in what I can do
So if I ever make a worthy line
Part of it, is because of you.

You always say peace, power and poetry
I’ll always remember that, Gary.
