The Enemy

by mossgirl19   Jun 26, 2017

A war
Forms in the space
Between her eyes
And the mirror.

It couldn’t be any clearer.

The image
That is reflected
Is wasted
So wasted.

She couldn’t look any longer.

She dies
As the war inside
Went to her eyes.

She died
In between her eyes
and the mirror.

To me this needs recognising because in my opinion it'll resonate with atleast a quarter of us on the site as I have come across many that write (some daily) about depression and the feelings they feel but this is done in the most simplest way which is rather intriguing to me to see and I think it's a pretty raw and personal view on how this poetess' perceives themselves unfortunately. I love the spacing too because it's done in a way that makes you pause? for breath and gives you time to digest what has been written
