with a stone heart
i took hold of your hand

and a jolt of spark
punched my soul

the same warmth
which used to hold me

cracked my stone heart

broke the denying wall

and streamed down my cheek

as i watched you go away
into a world of darkness

inner screams
banged upon your ears
unable to reach

unable to speak

and no amount of rain
can heal the moment

when you left me behind
to hold your cold hands
