HOW TO MAKE A POEM SING!

HOW TO MAKE A POEM SING!

Your verses must have a delightful ring, lines like a Bing would sing, maybe a lost love or just a simple glove? What about a friend in need and your helpful words they did heed, in their minds you planted a seed.

Will that sweet Sonnet you sang to your little Canary, your feathered friend, work, you bet! How about taking a hot shower on a chilly day, serenade yourself aloud, your words will echo in many directions but not heard by the crowd. Then you leap out of the stall dripping wet, to write down the lyrics that you don’t want to forget.

Anytime you may be listening to the various Music Stations, you soon will realize that many a song has some *rhyme; a tune makes you swoon as you gaze starry eyed at the full Moon.
Sing away as you pen your Pose, sing of all the good times, belt out a tune like they do on Broadway, I bet that will help make your day joyful and gay.

Sing about the Spring and all those good times when the Snow ended, with the gentle wind causing the fields of grain to sway near the end of the day. Sing like you sang when you and lovie were caught in a surprise downpour with no umbrella and far from the door. Who knows, you may even end up staring in one of those big shows!

*As a Poet, I have found my niche in Rhyme but I also acknowledge the great Talent of those Poets who do not use Rhyme. I dedicate this poem to all my rhyming Poet friends.

Thanks Zahra, I love to include in my poem things that everyone can relate to. As a young boy we had no hot water, not even a shower, we heated a large pot on the stove, poured into a basin and took sponge baths. In the summer my brother and I would go to the unfinished basement, put a hose over a beam and take a very chilly shower. Many years later when I got a job in New York City I was able to rent a small one room apartment in Staten Island. It had a stall shower and HOT water, the first time I got in the shower I began singing my heart away, oh happy day!
