A treat to repeat (English sonnet)

by Michael   Jun 28, 2017

If I could be carried upon the air
twirling and flying, and wave at the moon
and play for a while in the astral fair
I’d take a ride down, the big dipper flume,
tight-rope-walk on the belt of Orion
Carousel with sisters of seven stars
and head up higher and continue on
stop for cocktails around, the Milky bars.
Skating; and gliding upon Saturn’s rings
canoodle with Venus and share some love
sing a Duet with Jupiter ‘king of kings’
Oh! how wonderful, is this world above.
Such a magical and beautiful treat
one I would relish and hope to repeat
