Rant [ish]

I will admit,
There are lots of times
When I just wish
To give up,
More often now
Than I used to before.

Sometimes I just
Wanna disappear
Without a trace behind
To remind people
Of my existence.

Sometimes I wish
That I can just
Go back to the
Way it was before,
When I was just
Like any other person
On the street,
A background piece of the
Puzzle of life,
One which did not have
Any other meaning than
To be a filler character in a movie.

Sometimes I wish I can live that life of anonymity,
Away from the baggage that one receives
After gaining recognition (be it good or bad)
In the communities that they participate in,

Because then,
people would have great expectations from you
To make that new poem,
To make that new rant,
Or video,
Or song,
Or story,
Or speech,
Or what have you.

I just.. sometimes wish I can throw that all away and reclaim myself for once.

But then I remember that
You all count on me
To be the very best person
That I can be.
