WHAT IS A RHYME?

WHAT IS A RHYME?

It’s not a lemon or a lime, it loves to be in your poem verses, its’ words are made to ring like a chime and it fits great within those lines.

By itself it doesn’t fare well but with an adjective or a noun it loves to be found and sounds swell. A Rhyme can convey a good thought or bad, to be either funny or sad, it can be used in the kitchen, if you have the thyme.

I can be held at bay whilst you pen your thoughts line by line, to create a poem that will make the readers sway, but to me it’s like a dry shower on a hot and humid day.

You may think of me as being very vain but my desire is to avail and in all honesty, who does not like my special ring to the Fairy Tale? Whenever you need me, here I am, we can work together, just like toast and jam.

Nice poem, informative for new poets, yet related to your personality. I like that you used rhyme in a poem about rhyme. :)
