How Do You?

by Allie   Jul 3, 2017

How do you help a broken person?
Their broken pieces scattered along the way from everyone person that's ever done them wrong.

They could hear the crunching underneath their feet but never bothered picking them up to help piece back together the broken.

The pieces get smaller. Along with the person. Eventually turning to dust.

How do you help a lost person find their way back home? No bread crumbs for them to follow on the path back. Nobody to lead the way.

How do you help them, if you can't help yourself?

I could follow their shadow along the broken path. I could place the breadcrumbs to help them find their way home. I could pick up all the shattered pieces and place them back together as perfectly as I can.

But how am I supposed to find my way back? If I can't open my eyes and see where I'm going? Blindly leading them back to their destination but still in a whirlwind of destruction.
