Blown away Nams, resonates so profoundly.
But you are special and unique. Turning sour into sweet is a hard journey.
But we only have ourselves to believe in and trust

    Much warmth and love

I can only echo what Michael says here, Naomi. A wise man - you should listen!

Take care and all the best,

Nams, totally understand this. True friends are with you through all the good and the bad and the meh times. Sober Nams isn't party girl Nams and some so called "friends" can't handle that and you know, its their loss. They don't get to be with this incredibly amazing woman that you are. So F'em! You need people that will be there for you, help you up when you stumble and share this amazing thing called life with you. As far as your write-love this! Great rhyming through-out, nicely done-

It's sad when friends leave us halfway when our preferences change or when we choose not to conform with them anymore. I too totally understand the feeling and it hurts a lot! We are always here for you and there's a bunch of us here who cares for you genuinely. This is a great and honest write, Nams.

Sweet Naomi, friend, and lover. This has completely broken my heart. I am so sorry this happened to you, but I am glad you are cutting all ties with this person now. I have been in this position as well- always being the friend who comes running whenever something goes wrong, but when it's the other way around, suddenly I'm alone. Unfortunately, some friendships can turn out that way. But allowing toxic people to surround us and invade our space, especially during times of great struggle, when we need support the most, is not only harmful to us, but absolutely heartbreaking. You deserve so much better. Always. Never let someone make you feel like you are not worthy, or that you are not special. Because you are very special, indeed, and such a sweetheart! Like you said, you have us here on PnQ :) We have your back!! Never forget it! I applaud you for your strength to let this person go, and I hope life will go much smoother now. As always, hon, so much love and healing to you! <3

Wow. Really good such betrayals cut very deep. It makes you treasure those special friends who really never would betray you. I would have nominated it but Ben beat me to it

You know USB, you're getting a hell of a lot better at this poetry thing. You'll have to start teaching me stuff soon I think. The second last verse was my favourite. Someone must have really p'd you off though, going by the depth I see in this piece, and I'm hoping it ain't me. The word 'chat' got me thinking is all. But then the 'real friends on P & Q' part got me as well :/

Either way, excellent write. Rhymes, depth, sincerity, strong willed at the end - awesome stuff. I'd have nominated it but Mr Pickard beat me to it. Touché, Mr Pickard :)

I heard someone say once that online friendships can be the most hurtful and sometimes best ones to develop and though we can be miles apart we're always in the heart (I know cheesy) glad it's nominated. You don't need this type of person in your life especially right now, you need people who will try and help and support you through things.

Congrats on your first and much deserved weekly contest win! I'm proud of you and the dedication it's taken to get there :)
While there are some grammar errors, the poem itself is a piece many can relate to, and the integrity of the poem lies in its content. That person who only gives a **c* about themselves and no one else, but keeps you around for a variety of reasons that usually have to do with themself. It is tough to cut ties sometimes, but when you realize you have a support system elsewhere (here!), selfish people become unnecessary to tolerate. We have your back N, now and for always!

    5/5,
    Much love,

      Thanks S :)
also the grammar errors were deliberate :)
It was to kind of show how emotional it is, that it gets you a little angry and upset and everything. :)

      But thank you!
      Much Love xxx

ps.. i miss your poems! Come back soon when your settled!!!

I have to be honest, this was not an easy read. In truth it made me rather upset, and yet I could not leave it alone.

Some would argue over the length of the poem but I feel it was necessary to convey the full story. Because it is a story in its own right.

This is such a powerful poem it is impossible not to like it and it's impossible not to sit there when reading and think oh my god!

The construction of the poem is fantastic although I suspect emotion took over in certain places and I feel that this makes it all the more special and personal. It is raw and it is most definitely cutting.

If the words of another can stir an emotion then it's truly poetry.
