As I find myself

Trapped in the never ending
Maze of my own thoughts,
I have to keep reminding myself
That I don't need to push you out.
Contradicting what I've been used to for
The past two years,
I find myself feeling a little closer
To the old me than I ever have,
Every time I'm with you.
I have to remind myself that my insecurities are stupid;
That it's ok if I forget to do something.
That the small things I get excited over
Matter to someone.
That I don't have to put up my walls
When I'm hurting because
You will break them down and find a way
To help with the problem.
Not only that but I've found that
You have a way of making me
never shut you out,
I'm always open and honest and
As raw and exposed as it makes me feel
At the same time
It's the safest feeling in the world;
Having you walk beside me
as I find myself.
