THE TEAR, THE FROWN, AND THE SMILE

THE TEAR, THE FROWN, AND THE SMILE

Remember me dear, I’m your tear, that night I was shed because I heard what he said; with someone else he did sleep with, but not in your bed. Hey, I’m your frown, I know you’re not used to having me hang around, but how could I not appear after listening to that clown.

What about me, I’m you’re grin, I made my surprise appearance when you laid that big hay-maker on his chin, much to his chagrin! Wait a minute you all, I’m that mile-wide smile, the one that was there in all my glory, standing tall as you watched the louse run down the hall towards the door. Adios amigo, you are gone from my life and I’ll see you no more!

I then took my tear, frown, and smile to the local Pub to celebrate with a beer, out of nowhere a handsome man did appear, my smile said; let me handle this my dear, one look from me and he isn’t going anywhere, but here next to you in a chair. So, I put my tear and frown away, hopefully never to see another day.

You do have a way to give woman power and at the same time
make it entertaining and joyful to read and in a way encourage.

    Ken,
Firstly I like the name change its very fitting for you :) I love your rhyming, the stories you tell and the humour you tell it with.

1/ This resonates with me too much, being cheated on isn't cool but this made me chuckle because of the "listening to that clown"

2/ Hahaha I imagine her lamping him one after finding out about his cheating ways and then him legging it because she's grinning like a Cheshire cat psycho lady haha.

3/ Love it and the message says to me don't let the bleeps grind you down keep smiling because someone will be calling in love with that smile.

    Another tongue twisty piece.

Thanks Em, I wrote this poem with a woman's mindset. I was not putting down all men, just the heartless cheating ones. I remember telling our teenage daughter about what guys will do to get their way, especially using their specialized word tool saying; I love you! After after my preaching out of fear for her, she looks me in the eye and says; Dad, I know all that! Love your great comments and praise.

Yay, dear Crafty Ken, this is a fun and enjoyable read, but what I love more is that the tale ended with the smile left and the tear and the frown will never be seen another day. :-)

Yeah Mel, I wanted a happy ending, I'm always sad when in the Movies or TV the Love Story has a sad ending, so much for my soft heart!
